Using the Everbridge Campus Alert App

Whitman faculty, staff and students are strongly encouraged to download the Everbridge app to their mobile devices. This app, available for iOS and Android, provides an additional system for sending notifications in the event of a campus alert.

INSTRUCTIONS (iOS)

  1. First-time Set-up of Everbridge App

    1. Download and install the Everbridge app from the Apple Store; there is no cost for this.

    2. Open the Everbridge app; a notification will pop up stating Everbridge Would Like to Send You Notifications. Select Allow to enable notifications.

    3. Click Find an organization or subscription and type in Whitman College.

    4. Select Whitman College from the organizations list. This will open Whitman’s SSO Login screen. Enter your username and password and click Continue.

    5. On the next screen, configure your preferences for notifications (we strongly encourage you to allow push notifications) and click Done.

    6. Now you will be taken to the Feed page of the app, which is where announcements will be shown as they come.

    7. In the top left corner, click the three gray lines to open the main menu. Click the Settings gear in the bottom left corner.

    8. There are a number of Setting options, which you may customize to your preferences.

INSTRUCTIONS (Android)

  1. Download “Everbridge” from the Google Play Store  (if you have already downloaded the app please make sure you update it).

  2. Open Everbridge.

  3. In the Find an Organization or Subscription field, enter “Whitman College.”

  4. Click on the Whitman College icon.

  5. You will be prompted to enter your college email address and password.

  1. The next screen will show your name and a blue Done button. Click Done.
